Responsible for maintaining all types of production equipment used in an industrial baking plant
Work with conveyor belt systems, heaters, ovens, mixers, rolling systems, and basic heating and cooling mechanisms
May fabricate replacement parts for machinery with basic bench top tools and welding equipment
Working off of a daily checklist for preventative tasks to be completed as well as any 'emergency' maintenance
Must document everything as they are a Food Production Facility
Use the appropriate material and supplies on the right machinery
Assist with all operators during changeovers (they do 2 changeovers/day)
They do 2 hours of 'dry run' between changeovers to troubleshoot any issues before they add the dough
There is a 5-6 month training period where the candidate will be shadowing the main maintenance technicians before doing the work on the machines themselves. During that time they will likely be doing basic cleaning/changeovers, learning their way around the plant, etc
